Tour Plan
Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania – Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your dedicated safari representative holding a personalized welcome sign. You will be driven directly to your lodge in Arusha, where you can relax and settle in after your journey. As you travel, your guide will introduce you to Tanzania’s landscapes, cultures, and local traditions. If time allows, you may take an optional city tour that includes cultural highlights and vibrant local markets before returning to your accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Elephants’ Paradise
Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha toward Tarangire National Park. You will arrive before midday and embark on both morning and afternoon game drives through one of Tanzania’s most wildlife-rich reserves. Tarangire’s landscape of ancient baobab trees and sweeping savannah provides a sanctuary for enormous elephant herds, diverse birdlife, predators, and a wide range of grazing animals. After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue exploring until the late afternoon. As the day winds down, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.
Day 3: Discover Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, your guide will collect you for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Though compact, this remarkable reserve offers a variety of ecosystems, from thick woodlands and grassy plains to towering escarpment cliffs. The shimmering soda lake attracts thousands of flamingos and hundreds of other bird species throughout the year. As you journey through the park, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and—if luck is on your side—lions resting high in the branches of acacia trees. After a full day of exploration and a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and a peaceful evening.
Day 4: Journey to Serengeti National Park – The Endless Plains
Following breakfast, you will depart Karatu and begin your ascent through the Ngorongoro highlands. Along the way, you will pause to admire sweeping views of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing toward the legendary Serengeti. After passing through the park gates, your adventure continues with an afternoon game drive across the vast, wildlife-filled plains. The Serengeti is renowned for its rich predator populations, dramatic landscapes, and the world-famous wildebeest migration. As the sun sets, you will head to your tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today begins with an early morning game drive, giving you the opportunity to witness the wilderness as it awakens. The golden dawn is one of the best times to spot predators on the hunt and capture the Serengeti’s beauty in soft morning light. After returning to camp for breakfast and relaxation, you will continue your exploration later in the day with another game drive across the plains. By late afternoon, you will leave the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight accommodation will await you at your camp near the crater.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
After breakfast, you will set off with a packed lunch and descend into the incredible Ngorongoro Crater. Often described as Africa’s natural wonder, this enormous volcanic caldera offers extraordinary wildlife viewing within its enclosed landscape. The crater is one of the few places in East Africa where you may spot all members of the Big Five in a single day. Throughout your game drive, you will encounter a wide variety of animals, from grazing herds on the crater floor to elegant flamingos lining the lakeshore. After a full day of exploration, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.
Day 7: Into the Remote Beauty of Lake Natron
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Natron, traveling through remote regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers a rugged, dramatic landscape filled with volcanic formations, Maasai villages, and open plains that stretch toward the horizon. As you approach the lake, the striking silhouette of Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai—the sacred active volcano—dominates the scenery. Depending on the season, millions of flamingos may be seen gathering along the lake’s shoreline. Before reaching your lodge, you may visit the local hot springs for a refreshing stop. Your lodge provides breathtaking views and easy access to the lakeshore, where a short guided walk allows you to soak in the beauty of this extraordinary environment.
Day 8: Lake Natron Hike & Return to Arusha
In the morning, your Maasai guide will lead you on a scenic walk to the nearby waterfalls—an invigorating experience through rocky terrain and cool river passages. After returning for lunch at the lodge, you will begin your drive back to Arusha, passing through rural landscapes and Maasai communities along the way. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your preferred location in Arusha or transferred to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
