Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon landing at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to Green Mountain Lodge. After settling in, you will have the rest of the day to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lodge. If time permits, you may explore Arusha town or visit notable sites such as the Maasai Market or the Arusha Declaration Museum. Dinner and overnight will be at Green Mountain Lodge.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Natron
After breakfast, begin your journey toward Lake Natron, traveling through the striking landscapes of the Maasai steppe and the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before venturing to the lakeshore, where flocks of flamingos and the lake’s unique soda formations create a remarkable scene. You may also take a guided walk to nearby waterfalls or visit a Maasai boma for an authentic cultural encounter. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge near Lake Natron.
Day 3: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
Start the day with an early breakfast before departing on the scenic drive toward Serengeti National Park via the eastern corridor. The journey offers occasional wildlife sightings and expansive views. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your first game drive across its vast plains, renowned for predators, grazing animals, and iconic wildlife encounters. As the sun sets, continue to your tented camp for dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti.
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, allowing ample time to follow wildlife activity across its diverse habitats. Depending on the season, you may encounter the great migration or observe lions, cheetahs, elephants, and a wide array of other animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drives into the afternoon. Return to your tented camp in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive as you exit the Serengeti and follow the scenic route toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, where lush grasslands, forests, and wetlands support an extraordinary density of wildlife. Here, you may encounter black rhinos, lions, buffalo, flamingos, and many other species. Following your crater exploration, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Begin the morning with a game drive through Tarangire National Park, known for its sweeping savannahs, towering baobabs, and impressive herds of elephants. Explore its varied landscapes and observe abundant wildlife before enjoying a picnic lunch in the park. In the afternoon, return to Arusha for drop-off at your preferred location or connection to your onward travel plans, marking the end of your safari.
