Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your safari representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of your accommodation, preparing for the adventures ahead. Overnight will be at Mtoni River Lodge, where the comforts of a mid-range lodge provide a welcoming start to your safari.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park’s landscapes vary from dense acacia woodlands to sprawling savannahs, and its wildlife includes giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, lions, leopards, and a multitude of bird species. Enjoy a full day of game drives, pausing for a packed lunch, before retiring to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning, journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its dense wildlife populations and stunning scenery. Descend to the crater floor to encounter wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, lions, and with luck, the endangered black rhino. After an unforgettable morning exploring this natural wonder, continue to Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight at the luxury Embalakai Camp, located in the heart of the central Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Spend the day on an extensive game drive across the Serengeti, home to immense herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Explore the diverse habitats of the park, from open grasslands to riverine areas, capturing unforgettable wildlife moments. In the afternoon, drive back to Karatu, arriving at Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and an overnight stay, where comfort and relaxation await after a full day in the wild.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet ecologically rich park famous for its tree-climbing lions and thousands of flamingos along the soda lake. Enjoy a morning game drive through forests, grasslands, and along the lakeshore, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. Following a packed lunch, you will return to Arusha, concluding your safari in time for your onward travel or flight back home.
