Tour Plan
Day 1: Pick-Up from Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a short city tour that includes visits to the Cultural Heritage art gallery, local markets, and the vibrant Maasai Market, offering an engaging introduction to Arusha’s rich cultural spirit. After settling in, you will enjoy dinner and spend your first evening preparing for the safari ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your journey into the wild begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its impressive elephant herds and majestic baobab trees, the park offers a beautiful mix of grasslands, seasonal swamps, and the wildlife-filled Tarangire River. Your game drive takes you through some of the park’s most vibrant ecosystems, where you may encounter giraffes, zebras, lions, impalas, wildebeests, and many other species. A picnic lunch inside the park allows you to take in the surroundings before continuing the afternoon’s wildlife viewing. As the day ends, you will return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact gem known for its contrasting landscapes and rich biodiversity. The park’s shallow alkaline lake attracts hundreds of bird species, while the surrounding woodlands and grasslands support elephants, buffalo, monkeys, giraffes, zebras, and the park’s famously elusive tree-climbing lions. As you explore, you will move through forests alive with primates, open plains frequented by grazers, and towering cliffs dotted with ancient baobabs. The day concludes as you return to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4: Journey to Serengeti National Park
Your morning begins with breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive toward the legendary Serengeti. The route takes you through the highlands of Ngorongoro, where a brief stop at the crater viewpoint offers an unforgettable panorama of the vast caldera below. The journey continues across open plains where wildlife sightings begin even before entering the park. After a picnic lunch on the way, you will arrive in the Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive, immersing yourself in the park’s incredible wildlife diversity. As the sun sets, you will head to your camp for dinner and a peaceful night amid the tranquil sounds of the Serengeti.
Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to a full day of exploration across the Serengeti’s endless plains. From sunrise to sunset, you will venture deep into the wilderness in search of the Big Five and the many species that make this park one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. The day offers countless photographic opportunities, with encounters ranging from lions and elephants to cheetahs, buffalos, and more than five hundred bird species. After a rewarding day of discovery, you will return to your camp at sunset for dinner and a restful evening. Optional activities such as a hot air balloon ride or walking safari can be arranged at an additional cost.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will begin the journey toward Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying wildlife sightings along the way as you exit the Serengeti. Upon reaching the crater, you will descend into its expansive floor, a natural sanctuary often described as a wildlife paradise. The crater is home to an impressive variety of animals, including lions, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. You will spend several hours exploring the crater’s diverse landscapes before continuing to your lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure
Your final morning begins with a relaxed breakfast as you reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your safari. After checking out at around 11:00 am, you will be transferred to your preferred location in Arusha or Kilimanjaro, or directly to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward journey.
